Kat performed solo for the first time since being enrolled.
Marilyn sang with all her heart.
Therapist Josh led an aboriginal bluegrass band routine.
Kelsey did both a song and a monologue.
Wes' daughter Devani performed her gymnastics floor routine.

Wes' son Chase showed us his moves, impromptu style.

Staff Charlie was really amazing with a Randy Travis song on the guitar.

History teacher Kimberly Hawks and husband Brian crooned a duet.

Science teacher Chad Hamblin is probably the most widely talented staff on campus, or even in the entire Uintah Basin.

CRA Life Lately

Hello everyone! It's kat, and I'm here to update you on what's been going on lately. 2 Weekends ago student council held a talent show that both students and staff participated in. There were 14 acts all together and the judges were Christine, Andrea, and Wes. There was a tie for the winners, Me, and Jamie and Nicolette, and tonight we all get to go out to dinner with Christine for our prize. Seminar is coming up so everyone has been preparing for that.

Hi! It's Jamie. Well, like Kat already said, the talent show was FANTASTIC. Maybe I'm a liitle biased because one of my acts won first place...lol just kidding, it was a great experience for everyone. Volleyball has been going great, them team is getting better and better and pretty soon we'll start winning a lot I'm sure so stay tuned for that. Oh yeah, we have a game the this Thursday so if your student is on the team, make sure you get directions to the Roosevelt Middle School so you can watch us play! It'll be fun. See you there.

Hey, I'm Walt, one of the new members of the student council. These past 2 weeks have been a little intense. In addition to our talent show a couple weekends ago, a new portion of CRA opened up; the boarding school. Currently, Jake and I are the only members of this side of campus. Basically, we live in the Oak home and manage ourselves. We still get to see everyone else during normal school hours and meals but other than that, we are fully responsible for our own actions, taking care of the home and taking care of ourselves. So far, it's going on a positive note. Seminar is also coming up this Thursday-Friday so we look forward to seeing you there!

Hello there! My name is Jake Kiyoshi and I am currently a brand new member of student council. Me and Walter are the two students who are residing at the boarding school located in the oak home. As a senior, I find the boarding school very helpful in the process of obtaining my diploma. It is a great learning environment and a good learning experience. Student Council shall update everyone on the current sitaution at the boarding school soon. Have a nice week. Bye!

Books, Boarding Schools, and Bunkai

Wassup y'all? Things have been happening at Cedar Ridge, and Christine has been away, preventing me from telling y'all all about it. First off, the books that we've been toiling over for the past month are FINALLY getting totally wrapped up. Most of the books are ready to go to the book publishing thingymabobber and go to the children of Neola Elementary! Copies of your student's books are also available for purchase for those of you that haven't checked your e-mails. As of yesterday, the non-therapudic boarding school is officially open for operations. Walter and Jake are the only students in attendance, but no doubt we'll have several more students coming pretty soon. I sure wish one of them was me lol :-) Finally, the workshop is only two weeks away, and the wait is KILLING me! The only thing that keeps me from loosing my mind is the preformance that the karate team is preparing for the karate demo. I refuse to give anything away, but I can promise that the preformance will be the epitome of totally awesome, kick-butt Shotokan karate! Sorry that this post is lacking pictures... I'll make up next post because there are a lot of pictures that need posting. That's all I have for now. Peace!

CRA Volleyball Stuff

Nicolette and Aly letting out their inner children!
Kat and Diana at the park.
The volleyball team being themselves in the Cedar Ridge Yukon. :-)

What's up, parents? Here's some pictures from the girls on the volleyball team having fun after they reffed a few games yesterday. Being on a sports team isn't all work and running. :-) And now, a word from one of the girls on the team, Nicolette!
--Ryan :-)
Well, last night was insanely boring.. at least the part that included volleyball. Before we reffed four very long strenuous games, (eyes burning and all) we went to a soccer game and played in the park! Swings are way better than I ever remember them as a child. Maybe because I have had a lot of practice in staying in the moment. :-)
